China's electric vehicle industry overseas investment hits new high in 2023

In 2023, China's outbound direct investment in electric vehicle-related industries may hit a new record. Among them, investment in midstream battery manufacturing reached US$22.4 billion, accounting for 79.4% of electric vehicle investment. In addition, 13 lithium battery companies went overseas to build factories, with a total investment of more than 130 billion yuan.
