Electric vehicles account for more than a third of UK production

The SMMT said that in March, electric vehicle production in the UK accounted for more than a third of total production, but it was about 30% lower than the same period last year. The decline was mainly due to the impact of model iteration. However, in 2023, the production of pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles and hybrid vehicles in the UK increased significantly by 48% year-on-year.
