Vitesco Technologies and Rohm sign $1 billion long-term silicon carbide supply cooperation agreement

Vitesco Technologies and Rohm have reached a long-term silicon carbide supply cooperation agreement worth more than $1 billion to provide high-efficiency silicon carbide power semiconductors for electric vehicles. The agreement is based on a 2020 joint development agreement and will be signed in Regensburg. Vitesco Technologies plans to use advanced inverters with integrated Rohm silicon carbide chips in its electric vehicle powertrains starting in 2024.
