Global automakers are competing to develop extended-range hybrid technology

In addition to Mercedes-Benz, other automakers such as Rivian, Tesla and Mazda are also actively developing and applying extended-range hybrid technology. Rivian and Tesla use a large "power bank" in the pickup truck loading box, while Mazda chooses to install a small engine to charge the battery. Although these technologies have shown high efficiency in some aspects, they still face problems such as durability and environmental limitations.
