BMW Group announced that it plans to invest an additional 20 billion yuan in the Shenyang production base to carry out large-scale upgrades and technological innovations at the BMW Dadong plant. This move will lay the foundation for the local production of BMW's "new generation" models to be launched in 2026. The new-generation models will be put into production in Shenyang in 2026, and Shenyang will become one of the first production bases to put into production sixth-generation power batteries.
