Hesai Technology launches a new generation of LiDAR products

Hesai Technology has released the ultra-wide-angle long-range lidar ATX equipped with the fourth-generation chip architecture for the L2+ smart driving market. The product has a maximum detection distance of 300 meters, supports 256 lines, and the best angular resolution is 0.08°x0.1°, which is more than 2 times that of AT128. ATX lidar adopts the company's fourth-generation self-developed chip architecture. Compared with the previous generation of products, the new architecture has significant advantages in design, manufacturing technology and software algorithms. The fourth-generation chip architecture adopts 3D stacking technology, which can integrate 512 channels on a single board. It embeds a 256-core intelligent point cloud analysis engine (IPE) and an 8-core APU internally, achieving 24.6 billion samples per second, and the detector sensitivity is increased by 130 %, single-point ranging power consumption is reduced by 85%. This radar has received pre-installation mass production project designations from four leading global and domestic OEMs.
