Albemarle's lithium salt sales in the first quarter of 2024 were $801 million, down 59% year-on-year. Although the expansion of the company's La Negra III/IV project in Chile and the ramp-up of the Qinzhou plant in China increased lithium salt production by 31%, the pricing of energy storage products fell 89% year-on-year, resulting in a decline in revenue from this business.
