Jabil and Intel join forces to enter silicon photonics transceiver market

Jabil and Intel have reached a cooperation agreement. Jabil will be responsible for the production, sales and subsequent development of Intel's silicon photonic pluggable optical transceiver products. This move is aimed at meeting the needs of customers in the data center industry and responding to the challenges brought by complex environments such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence. Jabil will provide customers with one-stop photonic solutions through its photonic business unit to reduce the complexity of network construction. Intel will focus on the research and development and application of silicon photonic components.
