China's auto exports increased by 57.4%, Mexico became the largest importer

According to the data from the General Administration of Customs, China's automobile exports reached 5.221 million units in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 57.4%. The total export volume was US$101.6 billion, a year-on-year increase of 69%. Mexico replaced Russia as the largest importer of Chinese automobiles. Although the US and Canadian markets have limited exports to Chinese self-owned brand automobiles, Mexico remains a bridge for Chinese brands to enter the North American market.
