Mercedes-Benz launches OTA upgrade

Mercedes-Benz is pushing OTA upgrades to more than 700,000 vehicles worldwide, adding new entertainment and navigation features. From August to November 2023, owners of vehicles equipped with the second-generation MBUX system will be able to obtain the MBUX Entertainment Update (2.4). The upgraded system will provide NewsFlash and Tourguide voice services in more European countries. The Tourguide service was initially launched in Germany and is now expanded to the UK and France, supporting English and German. When the vehicle passes by a brown tourist attraction sign, the MBUX voice assistant will read out the relevant information.
