Toyota's February sales down 6.9%

Toyota's global sales fell 6.9% in February to 719,630 vehicles. The decline was mainly due to a sales drop caused by the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday and a drop in sales at Daihatsu Motor due to a safety testing scandal. In the Chinese market, Toyota's sales fell nearly 36% to 83,332 vehicles in February. However, in the US and European markets, Toyota's sales increased by 16% and 14%, respectively.
