Recently, automotive parts manufacturing giant BorgWarner and BYD subsidiary FinDreams Battery reached a strategic cooperation, and the two parties will cooperate to produce lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery packs in Europe and the Americas. BYD will provide BorgWarner with blade battery cells, and BorgWarner will be responsible for assembling these cells into battery packs. This eight-year agreement marks BorgWarner as the first non-OEM manufacturer to be able to use blade batteries, and will become the only agent of blade batteries in Europe and the Americas. According to the agreement, BorgWarner will obtain the use of FinDreams Battery's intellectual property rights related to its battery pack design and manufacturing processes.
