CATL launches new specifications of lithium iron phosphate batteries

It is reported that CATL is promoting its 173Ah VDA lithium iron phosphate battery cells to automakers. The cells support 2.2C fast charging and adopt a large single product strategy. Industry sources said that many automakers will switch to this product in mid-2024, and the cell price will not exceed 0.4 yuan/Wh, aiming to occupy the 100,000-200,000 yuan pure electric vehicle market.
