Toyota announces solid-state battery development breakthrough

In July 2023, Toyota Motor announced that it had made a major breakthrough in the research and development of solid-state batteries and would achieve mass production in 2027. In addition, automakers such as SAIC, GAC, and Changan also stated that they would achieve mass production of solid-state batteries by 2027.
