According to SMM historical quotations, since 2021, the new energy industry has entered a stage of explosive growth, and the price of battery-grade lithium carbonate has soared from 51,500 yuan/ton at the end of 2020 to 567,500 yuan/ton at the end of 2022, but then the price began to fall, and by the end of 2023 it had fallen to 98,000 yuan/ton. This price fluctuation has changed the upstream industry structure of lithium batteries, accelerated the clearance of production capacity, eliminated some small and medium-sized enterprises, and the lithium industry will face a new round of reshuffle.
