Autonomous driving freight test on Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway officially launched

Recently, the Ministry of Transport approved the "Pilot Application of Autonomous Driving for Highway Freight from Tianjin Port to Majuqiao Logistics Park", referred to as the Tonggangdayuan Project. The project has launched regular road tests and autonomous driving tests on the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Expressway, and plans to conduct commercial trials to explore new business models. The Tonggangdayuan Project is led by China Merchants Highway, China Merchants New Intelligence is responsible for project design and implementation, and Mainline Technology is responsible for the research and development and testing of autonomous driving technology. The project aims to promote the construction of smart freight channels and the integrated development of smart logistics in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
