Eaton wins contract to supply battery pack disconnect units for electric passenger vehicles to major global automakers

Eaton Corporation announced that its Vehicle Electrification Division has been successfully awarded a contract to provide 400V and 800V versions of battery disconnect units (BDUs) for electric passenger vehicles to an international automaker. These BDUs integrate Eaton’s Breaktor® circuit protection technology, reducing complexity and cost. Eaton demonstrated this technology at the Battery Show in Stuttgart, Germany, and hosted a discussion on functional safety of electric vehicle systems.
