China's automobile production and sales will hit a new high in 2023, but automakers are facing huge pressure

According to the latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's automobile production and sales in 2023 will reach 30.161 million and 30.094 million, up 11.6% and 12% year-on-year, setting a record high. However, many automakers are not having an easy time in 2023, and few have achieved the production and sales targets set at the beginning of the year. Even the financially strong luxury car brand BBA is still under tremendous pressure despite an increase in sales.
