Socionext releases 7nm ADC/DAC for 5G Direct-RF receivers

Socionext has launched a high-speed direct RF sampling data converter IP based on 7nm FinFET process, designed for 3GPP 5GNR/LTE and Wi-Fi networks. This Direct-RF IP supports FR1 and FR2 frequency bands, has low power consumption and miniaturization, and is suitable for 5G small base station applications. It integrates 12-bit resolution ADC and DAC, with a maximum analog bandwidth of 7.2GHz, and supports 5GNR FR1 frequency. In addition, it also supports multi-carrier aggregation and DDC/DUC cascading, which helps reduce costs.
