Zhejiang University research team reveals humidity sensitivity of oxide materials

1
While studying the positive electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries, a research team from Zhejiang University discovered the sensitivity of oxide materials to humidity. They found that polar water molecules would exchange H+/Na+ with oxide materials, leading to the instability of the materials. To solve this problem, the research team proposed a method to improve the stability of oxide materials by limiting water activity, which is of great significance for improving the performance of sodium-ion batteries.
