CATL enters electric ship field

In 2019, CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Wuhan Institute of Standards of China Classification Society to enter the electric ship market. In 2022, CATL Electric Ship Technology Co., Ltd. was established, focusing on the research and development and manufacturing of electric ship powertrains. In 2023, CATL released a new energy ship full life cycle collaborative operation cloud platform and the first zero-carbon charging and battery replacement comprehensive energy replenishment solution.
