rFpro, a British simulation system developer, recently released a new simulation rendering technology called "ray tracing", which simulates the way vehicle sensors observe the world. This technology is expected to enable ADAS and autonomous driving car systems to be trained and developed entirely through simulation, thereby reducing development costs and shortening development time. rFpro originally focused on racing simulation development and has now expanded to the automotive field. Matt Daley, the company's technical director, said that eight top automakers have adopted rFpro technology in their vehicle development projects.
