STMicroelectronics has announced that it has received its first order for its ultra-small 500-megapixel indirect time-of-flight (iToF) sensor, the VD55H1, from BlueCore Technology, a Chinese company specializing in developing deep vision systems for mobile robots. This high-performance, small-size sensor is suitable for a variety of applications, including 3D webcams, PCs, and VR headsets.
