Geely executives respond to when to surpass BYD: the goal is to return to the top of domestic brands

At the recent Geely 2023 performance conference, a reporter asked when Geely would surpass BYD. Geely CEO Gui Shengyue made it clear that Geely's goal is to regain the number one position in the independent brand and reproduce the glory of 2017 and 2018. This confidence comes from Geely's rapid development in the new energy field, especially the two models of the Zeekr brand, 007 and 001, which have received a large number of orders. However, to catch up with or surpass BYD, one or two popular models are not enough. To this end, Geely plans to launch 9 new energy vehicles this year, including 3 each from Geely, Lynk & Co and Zeekr.
