Gentex's first quarter revenue and net income increased significantly

Gentex reported significant growth in both revenue and net income in the first quarter of this year, mainly due to sales of its high-tech rearview mirrors and other advanced products outperforming the overall market. The report shows that the company's first-quarter net sales were US$590.2 million, an increase of 7% from the same period last year. Despite a 3% decline in light vehicle production in North America, Europe and Japan/South Korea, Gentex's quarterly net profit increased 11% year over year to $108 million.
