Yichun City cooperates with CATL and BYD to build new energy projects

Yichun City has cooperated with global new energy leading companies CATL and BYD. In September 2021, CATL announced plans to invest no more than 13.5 billion yuan in Yichun City to build a new lithium battery production and manufacturing base project. In August 2022, BYD plans to invest 28.5 billion yuan in Yichun to build a comprehensive development and utilization production base project with an annual output of 30GWh power batteries and an annual output of 100,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate and lithium-containing ceramic clay mines.
