SICK to sell industrial sensors using FMCW technology

SICK, a leading global supplier of industrial sensors, announced that they will soon begin selling products using frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) laser ranging technology. These contactless sensors will integrate FMCW on-chip lidar sensing modules developed by Aeva in California, USA. Aeva is one of the few photonics companies in the world that focuses on advanced lidar methods. Aeva is expected to start delivering products to SICK in the first half of 2025.
