NXP Semiconductors Announces Acquisition of US SerDes Startup Aviva Links

NXP Semiconductors (NXP) announced that it will spend $242.5 million (about RMB 1.767 billion) in cash to acquire US SerDes startup Aviva Links. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025, subject to customary transaction conditions, including regulatory approval. The acquisition is critical to NXP's advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) because these systems require highly asymmetric camera and display networks with high downlink bandwidth and low uplink bandwidth.
