Current situation of Thailand’s automobile market: sales volume declines, affecting many automakers

As the largest automobile manufacturer and exporter in the 10 ASEAN countries and the fifth largest automobile market in the world, Thailand has seen a decline in sales in recent years. From January to April 2024, Thailand's sales fell 23.9% year-on-year to 210,494 vehicles. This phenomenon has affected many automakers, including Suzuki, forcing them to adjust their strategies, such as Suzuki's decision to close its Thai factory.
