Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron Technology develop new non-volatile memory technology

Recently, major global semiconductor memory companies, including Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Micron Technology, have been actively researching a new type of non-volatile memory technology aimed at overcoming the weaknesses of 3D XPoint memory. This new technology is called "selector-only memory (SOM)", "self-select memory (SSM)" or "single chalcogenide X-point memory (SXM)".
