Italian government plans to increase domestic car production to 1.3 million units per year

The Italian government wants to boost annual domestic vehicle production to 1.3 million from less than 800,000 last year and has been in talks with Stellantis to increase the group’s annual production in Italy to 1 million by 2030, a goal it last achieved in 2017.
