Anthropic seeks funding at up to $40 billion valuation

Anthropic recently sought investment firms to raise funds at a valuation of $30 billion to $40 billion. Any investment deal with Amazon could come in the form of convertible notes, which convert into equity after Anthropic raises money from other investors. In addition to the investment, the companies are also negotiating a cloud agreement in which the two parties share revenue from selling Anthropic models to Amazon cloud customers.
