Chinese car companies enter the Thai market

Eight Chinese automakers, including SAIC, Great Wall, and BYD, have decided to build factories in Thailand to produce electric vehicles. Last year, four out of every five electric vehicles sold in the Thai market came from China. As one of the founding members of ASEAN, Thailand's electric vehicles can enter other ASEAN countries with zero tariffs, which is suitable for Chinese automakers to expand into the Southeast Asian market.
