Nuro gets permit to test newest self-driving delivery vehicles in California

Mountain View-based Nuro recently received approval from the California Department of Motor Vehicles to test its latest self-driving delivery vehicle in four Bay Area cities. Called the R3, the third-generation driverless vehicle is larger and faster than previous models and can travel farther on a single charge. The R3 will not be equipped with a safety driver and is expected to expand commercial deliveries by the end of this year.
