Guangzhou unicorn Pony.ai plans overseas IPO

The autonomous driving company Pony.ai plans to conduct an overseas IPO and has been registered with the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The company focuses on autonomous driving technology, and its products are widely used in taxis, trucks and passenger cars. In the past 7 and a half years, Pony.ai has completed 8 rounds of financing, with a valuation of US$8.5 billion (about RMB 61.5 billion). In particular, its valuation has skyrocketed 40 times in the five years from 2017 to 2022.
