In April 2023, Schaeffler signed a memorandum of understanding with the Management Committee of Nanjing Jiangning High-tech Industrial Development Zone to further strengthen cooperation in production and R&D. According to the memorandum, Schaeffler will establish a research and development institution in Nanjing to carry out advanced technology and product research and development in the fields of renewable energy, wind power photovoltaics, hydrogen energy storage and robotics.
