Samsung Electronics' first quarter 2024 financial report showed that its operating profit reached 6.61 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 931.87%, and its sales were 71.92 trillion won, a year-on-year increase of 12.82%. The chip business had sales of 23.14 trillion won and operating profit of 1.91 trillion won. Samsung Electronics said that it expects memory prices to continue to rise in the second quarter and chip demand to remain strong.
