Dongfeng Motor releases its first axial flux distributed electric drive prototype

Dongfeng Motor released the first axial flux distributed electric drive prototype at Zhixin Technology Park No. 1. This electric drive assembly has the characteristics of high power density, high torque density and low axial size. It adopts a central distributed architecture and deeply integrates dual axial flux motors, dual planetary gears and dual motor controllers. The prototype can achieve a single motor weight of only 23KG to output 225KW power and 670Nm torque, and the torque density reaches 29.1Nm/KG. In addition, it also uses a stator plastic-sealed immersed oil cooling structure, which greatly improves the heat dissipation efficiency and makes the maximum efficiency of the axial flux motor reach 97.5%.
