Kioxia to stop using the Plextor brand

Kioxia has decided to stop using the Plextor brand, which has been used for more than 30 years. The Plextor brand originally belonged to Japan's Shinano Kenshi Group, and was later acquired by PLDS, a joint venture between Philips and Lite-On Electronics, and later merged with Lite-On. In 2020, Lite-On spun off the SSD business group into Lite-On Storage and sold it to Kioxia.
