Japanese automakers Honda and Nissan have signed a memorandum of understanding on the merger and will formally start merger negotiations. The two companies will jointly invest in a holding company, and both will become subsidiaries of the holding company. Mitsubishi Motors is also considering signing a memorandum of understanding to explore the possibility of participating in business integration.
