Jingsheng Electromechanical: A rising star in the silicon carbide substrate industry

The main business of Jingsheng Electromechanical is concentrated in the upstream equipment field, involving silicon carbide single crystal furnaces, epitaxial equipment, etc. In recent years, the company has also begun to invest in the research and development of silicon carbide substrate products and has made significant progress. As of December 2023, Jingsheng Electromechanical has built a pilot line for the growth, slicing, and polishing of 6- to 8-inch silicon carbide crystals. The 6-inch substrate wafers have been verified by many downstream companies, and the monthly production capacity has reached 10,000 wafers. And has achieved bulk sales. At the same time, the 8-inch substrate is still in the verification stage of downstream companies. The main production capacity of Jingsheng Electromechanical is located in factories in Ningxia and Inner Mongolia. The Ningxia Yinchuan project is designed to produce 400,000 conductive and semi-insulating silicon carbide substrate wafers of 6 inches and above per year. The total investment in this project is 3.36 billion yuan, and trial production will begin in 2022.
