Volkswagen VCTC R&D Center: Accelerate the development of smart cars and enhance product competitiveness

Volkswagen Group has established the first VCTC R&D center in China that focuses on the research and development of intelligent connected vehicles, with a total investment of 1 billion euros. The center is committed to developing the first electric vehicle architecture CMP built specifically for the Chinese market, and will build China-exclusive A-class entry-level models based on this new architecture. Through close cooperation with partners such as SAIC Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen, Volkswagen Anhui and Xiaopeng, Volkswagen has successfully shortened the product development cycle from 45 months to 25 months.
