SMIC will achieve mass production of silicon carbide by 2023, aiming for a 30% global market share

In 2023, Xinlian Integration will achieve mass production of silicon carbide, and the product type is planar MOSFET products, 90% of which are used in new energy vehicle main drive inverters. The company has currently achieved mass production of more than 5,000 pieces per month, and the performance of the company's latest generation of silicon carbide MOSFET products has reached the world's leading level. At present, the company is building the first 8-inch silicon carbide device R&D production line in China, which will be put into operation in 2024. The silicon carbide business has become the company's second growth curve. In the long run, the company's silicon carbide business market share target is to reach 30% globally.
