Chinese semiconductor company Yutai Microelectronics and the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) announced a collaboration on the "High-Speed ​​IO System" project to promote the development of automotive Ethernet chips. The collaboration will help improve the GPIO ESD protection capabilities of automotive chips while effectively controlling costs. Yutai Microelectronics has been focusing on the research and development and sales of high-speed wired communication chips since 2017, and in 2020 released the country's first automotive 100M Ethernet physical layer chip YT8010A, achieving a zero breakthrough in domestic automotive Ethernet physical layer chips.
