Guangdong Province promotes energy conservation and carbon reduction in petrochemical industry

The energy conservation and carbon reduction plan released by Guangdong Province mentioned that it will strictly implement the petrochemical industry policy requirements and strictly control the new production capacity of industries such as oil refining, calcium carbide, ammonium phosphate, and yellow phosphorus. At the same time, it will accelerate the energy conservation and carbon reduction transformation of the petrochemical industry and promote energy-saving equipment such as large-scale high-efficiency compressors and advanced gasifiers. The goal is to achieve a refining energy efficiency benchmark level of more than 90% by the end of 2025.
