Tesla plans to deploy self-driving cars in Austin

Tesla is in preliminary discussions with the city of Austin about its self-driving car technology, with the goal of deploying self-driving cars on Texas roads, according to Bloomberg. Emails show that Tesla employees have been communicating with the city of Austin's self-driving car task force since May. Tesla is considering whether to make Austin the first city in Texas to deploy its driverless fleet.
