Volkswagen Group revives Scout brand to enter US off-road vehicle market

Volkswagen Group is reviving the Scout brand to enter the US light truck market, especially the lucrative off-road vehicle market. Scout will launch an SUV and a pickup truck, mainly targeting the US off-road vehicle and truck market that has long been occupied by brands such as Jeep, Ram, Ford, Chevrolet and GMC. Emerging brands such as Bronco, Hummer and Land Cruiser, as well as Rivian, Ineos and Lucid, have also joined the competition.
