China accelerates the construction of a unified and open transportation market

On December 23, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued an opinion on accelerating the construction of a unified and open transportation market, aiming to promote the green and smart transformation and upgrading of transportation. The document emphasizes the importance of environmental impact assessment of transportation infrastructure planning and construction projects to ensure the consistency of planning implementation with ecological protection requirements. At the same time, it will also strengthen the sharing of energy consumption and carbon emission data in transportation.
