Samsung announced that it is working with Google and Qualcomm to develop XR headsets, and has set up an independent team called the "Immersive Team" to lead the project. The team is part of Samsung's MX division, which focuses on smartphones and currently has about 100 people, with plans to expand further. Samsung's move is aimed at responding to the competitive pressure brought by Apple's Vision Pro headset, which has sold more than 200,000 units.
