LG Innotek develops 5-megapixel RGB-IR in-car camera module

LG Innotek announced that it has successfully developed a new "Automotive RGB-IR In-Car Camera Module" equipped with a 5-megapixel RGB (red, green, blue)-IR (infrared) sensor. This high-performance camera module can be installed in different locations in the car, such as the rearview mirror or in front of the passenger seat, to monitor the driver's status, such as fatigue or distraction, while also monitoring the passengers' conditions in real time, such as whether the front and second rows are wearing seat belts.
